Full Day Trekking:

Most trekking trails of El Chaltén do not require previous experience in mountain activities and you will be able to visit viewpoints with spectacular panoramic views.

Lago del Desierto and Glaciar Vespignani:

An unmissable experience that combines transfers from El Chaltén with navigation and trekking within the northern area of Los Glaciares National Park and the provincial reserve Lago Argentino.
Bordering the Rio de las Vueltas, we depart from El Chaltén to the north. After 36 kilometers of incredible landscapes, where the visuals and the different morphologies and crossings of the rivers will leave you breathless, we reach the famous Lago del Desierto.

Upon arrival, we enter the port of Lake Argentino located at the southern end of it. There we embark and sail for approximately 50 minutes watching the Huemul and Crestón glaciers to disembark for 15 minutes at the northern tip of the lake.

Then we navigate to the Vespignani Glacier area, which is located approximately in the middle of the lake. Once there, and always under the supervision of a person in charge of the activity, they can choose to walk on foot one of the three perfectly marked trails of the Vespignani Glacier Reserve according to the difficulty and effort they wish to make.

The most demanding path, through a steep slope of 150m, lasts approximately 45 minutes at a slow pace, and puts us at the foot of the Vespignani Glacier offering an incredible height view of the north face of the imposing Fitz Roy hill.

As a second option, the intermediate path takes us with a lighter and more constant slope, and in just 15 minutes to an outstanding panoramic point overlooking the fabulous glacier.

They can also opt for or complement the other routes by breaking the interpretive path that visits the forested and coastal area of the reserve without ascents.

After a goodbye snack we embark back to arrive at the pier of Punta Sur. From there the bus takes us to El Chaltén where our adventure ends.

This excursion is offered in two daily shifts.

Mirador del Cerro and Chorrillo del Salto:

Enjoy a 3-hour guided low-difficulty trek, entering through the Centro access and ending in the North.

After half an hour of walking, we reach the viewpoint of the Margarita waterfall, and an hour later to that of Cerro Torre. Both offer incredible views of the Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre laces.

We finish this first stage a few meters from the Rancho Grande hostel, where they wait for us with a snack of coffee with cake.

In the hostel we meet again with the transfer to go to the area of Chorrillo del Salto, ending the tour, then passengers will have an hour off before returning to El Calafate.
